A deposit of the first night’s rate is required for a reservation. We accept VISA, MC, AMEX, and Discover.
- If canceled more than 14 days prior to arrival date, the deposit will be refunded less a cancellation fee ($25 per Cottage).
- If canceled within 14 days of arrival date, the deposit is non-refundable.
- If you shorten your reserved stay, you are responsible for the unused portion of your reservation.
- “No-shows” will be responsible for payment in full for the entire reservation.
If cancellation is the result of hazardous winter road conditions, your deposit will be retained on your account to be used for a future stay. Closure of the Ice Caves, the Ice Road, or cancellation of other events are not considered a reason for a refund.
Note: We understand that unexpected and unfortunate things happen that might require the cancellation of your reservation. For your peace of mind, we recommend that you purchase travel insurance for unforeseen potential risks of a canceled trip due to an illness or other unexpected event.
APPLE FEST CANCELLATIONS: Entire reservation must be paid in full by August 31st and is non-refundable for cancellations thereafter. Please mark your calendar and plan accordingly. For cancellations made prior to the August 31st deadline, the initial reservation deposit will be refunded less the $25 cancellation fee per Cottage.
It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that a valid credit card is on file to be processed at this payment deadline. Reservations may be forfeited without notice in the event of a “declined” payment. Apple Fest reservations require a minimum stay of 3 nights that must include Friday & Saturday of Apple Fest Weekend. Apple Fest is a huge annual Bayfield event and, thus, reservations have a strict Payment and Cancellation Policy.
Two-night minimum stays are required:
- Weekends from Memorial Day weekend through October (must include Fri or Sat)
- Cottage 14 Weekends year-round (must include Fri or Sat)
- New Year’s holiday
- Book Across the Bay weekend
- Ice Caves when open/accessible* (*High-season rates will apply)
Three-night minimum stays are required:
- Labor Day weekend (must include Fri and Sat)
- Apple Festival (must include Fri and Sat)
BALANCE IS DUE AT CHECK-IN by credit card or cash only — No checks accepted. If paying in cash, guest will be required to present a current, valid credit card upon check-in.
CHECK-IN starts at 4:00 PM No exceptions between Memorial Day or Labor Day.
CHECK-OUT ~ NO LATER THAN 10:00 AM Check-outs after 10:00 am will be charged a minimum of $25 for each 1/2 hour increment. Please plan accordingly.
- For groups reserving 8 or more cottages, check-out ~ no later than 9:00 am.
LATE ARRIVAL, AFTER 7:00 pm: At the Office front door, you will find an envelope labeled with your name and Cottage #. Enclosed you will find all information needed for your after-hours arrival.
OCCUPANCY There is a $40/night charge for an additional guest as allowed per Cottage occupancies.
Occupancy limits include children and cannot be exceeded for any reason other than an infant (under 1 yr). Exceeding the maximum specified occupancy violates health and fire codes, and will result in termination of your reservation without refund.
Bedding for pull-out sleepers (or daybed in #2) is available only upon request. You must request at time of reservation, and a one-time charge of $5+tax will be added. If requested upon/after arrival, charge is $10+tax. NOTE: There are no add’l sleepers available in Cottages 3,4,5,14.
NO PETS permitted on property or inside Cottages. A cleaning fee up to $500.00 will be charged along with termination of rental with no refund.
NO SMOKING/VAPING A cleaning fee up to $500.00 will be charged if there is evidence of smoking/vaping inside Cottages.
NO COOKING inside Cottages 3,4,5,14 except microwave. If you would like the convenience of home-cooking during your getaway, please consider a Cottage with kitchen.
NO CHILDREN ALLOWED IN COTTAGES 3,4,5,14 (with exception of an infant).
NO TENTS or additional sleeping facilities are permitted on property.
NO OVERNIGHT VISITORS without prior approval.
ALL TOWELS, BLANKETS, & BEDDING MUST REMAIN INSIDE COTTAGE ~ Do NOT use for cleaning, beaches, or fire pits!
DAMAGES & CLEANING Any damages incurred, items missing, or **excessive cleaning required after check-out will be charged to your final bill.
Each kitchen/kitchenette is equipped appropriately for its Cottage. DO NOT MIX dishes/utensils with other cottages as additional **excessive cleaning charges will apply. Charges will be added to your final bill for unreported damages to the cottage, towels, bedding, furniture, property, items missing, or excessive cleaning required. This includes, but is not limited to, dirty dishes left for us to wash (if dishwasher is provided), displaced dishes/furnishings (If you move dishes or furniture, put them back where they belong!), confetti/glitter (yes, glitter!), trash & cigarette butts that have been littered.
We are not responsible for items lost or left behind but we will always do our best to recover and return items at guest’s expense (min $15).
ASSIGNMENT We reserve the right to re-assign accommodations of the same-size Cottage or larger with the same basic amenities or upgrade without notice at no additional charge.
ACCEPTANCE We reserve the right to change the Policies at any time.
By making a reservation, you accept and acknowledge the current Policies of Woodside Cottages of Bayfield.
